VOL.13 NO.2

The Reader’s Pavilion

JOB SEEKER

The Editor,

My name is Otibhor Osegale, I am a lady lawyer with three years post-call experience. I am in need of a job in a busy chamber where I can learn and be exposed to serious litigation work. Please link me with a willing employer.

Editor’s Note: - Otibs, it’s done.

SQUIB

The Editor,

I wish to commend the latest edition of the Squib, the printing was of high quality. Your learned Squib Colum on the Justice Gbajabiamila’s court made very interesting reading.

Gbajabiamila J should take more care to avoid such criticisms such as yours, moreso he is a pastor.Aas for the rich encomiums you poured on Justice Oke in your write up somebody told me that they are tantamount to toasting the honourable judge.

Editor’s Note: - Really? Little gecko toast senior judge? Treasonably felony is on the way!

SQUIB

The Editor,

Have you stopped publishing the Squib? I have not been seeing it. Has the fire gone out?

Editor’s Note: - To the glory of God, the Squib liveth on.

NJC RETURNS

The Editor,

What is 'NJC Returns?' NJC Returns is simply a Report consisting of the numbers of cases being handled by a Judge, the state of each and necessary further action. Thus what 'returns' can an indolent Judicial Officer file, if he is not dutifully attending to his duties except to cook up numbers?

Editor’s Note: - I concur

C.O.P V. MATILUKO

The Editor,

C.O.P V. Matiluko, graphically illustrates all that is wrong with the police in Nigeria, charging the minions to court while leaving the real criminal untouched. Pray, why was M.C.Dili and the other Air Forcemen, who savagely beat up the complainant not charged to court? Is it because they are untouchable? So, where is Justice?

Editor’s Note: - Certainly far from the police
